Invitation from
Stan Smith, GANA Exec. Vice President
2008
is an exciting year for GANA, and it all begins with what GANA President
Andrew Gum dubbed “the Super Conference.” The GANA Board of Directors
decided nearly 18 months ago to pair Glass Week and the BEC Conference into
one location and time frame because of the enhanced educational and
networking opportunities it afforded our members. By combining primary
manufacturer members with fabricators and leading glazing contractors in the
industry, this fusion event will offer great opportunities to GANA members,
and Andy was correct in that the result will indeed be “super.”
As you look through
this meeting brochure, I encourage you to consider attending the entire
combined event. You will certainly see a modest savings of registration fees
if you do choose a combined package, but more importantly, attending all six
days of Glass Week/BEC will exponentially increase the benefits of the event
for you and your company. There is literally something to learn in every
segment of the meeting, and no one will leave Las Vegas feeling the meeting
had little benefit.
As the commercial
glass and glazing industry continues to progress, with significant
technological and management enhancements emerging in the industry, we can
value an opportunity to meet with our peers and assess future momentum. No
other venue provides the perfect opportunity for us to do this than the
combined Glass Week/BEC event. With over 900 industry leaders anticipated to
attend, the most brilliant minds will be in Las Vegas, and we are counting
on you to be one of them.
Please review the
available packages on the following page and choose the one that is right
for you and your company. As this event will reach maximum capacity, it is
best to get your registration in as early as possible. Our host hotel for
this year’s event is The Rio All-Suites Resort and Casino, and Las Vegas is
always a city that offers an electrical experience for our attendees. I
invite you to be one of the leaders to attend this event.
I look forward to
visiting with you, hearing your feedback and discussing your ideas on how
the Glass Association of North America can increase its future support and
educational efforts for the industry. See you in Vegas!
